| Guys, what an absolute blast. Had to leave this morning, my brother in law passed away. Great ride Thursday afternoon and I assure you I WAS NOT the drunkest person Thursday night, but i'm not spilling the beans on who was. Fridays ride was a blast also, met a lot of new folks and as always with this sport, all good people. and if teddy ever had a chance to out run james, today is his chance. Keep posted to this site...................i'm sure it will show up. | |

| Just got back to Ashland. Looks like we are the only ones left from the ride. We will be leaving in the morning, heading back to sunny Florida.
Today we went for a ride with James and Geterdun. We traveled 50 miles and had a blast even if we had to turn around twice(did y'all hear the banjos? I sure did!!!)
I want to personally thank James and Nikki for being such great hosts. I also want to thank all the forum members for welcoming us from Florida. We had such a wonderful time both on and off the trails. And yes, I did get initiated to mountain trails last night on that wonderful final technical descent!!!
It was such a pleasure meeting each and everyone of you during the weekend.
Dana took hundreds of pictures. Will be posting them once we get home tomorrow night.
Talk to y'all soon!!!

| All home safe and sound, first wash of the rhino was an hour and a half long trying to get all the SOGGY BOTTOM out of it lol. wife and i had a very good time, we met some great new friends, we loved all the kids on the ride, Hunter and mike and marias 2 little girls, I personally bonded very quick with the girls in one deep mud hole, well kind of like a rescue of sorts, glad we were there to help, should be some awesome pictures of mike getting the rhino out on three wheels, we enjoyed all the families and thanks again to james and nikki for a great party, great food too by all...... great prizes, great friends, thanks everyone, Roger and Jan... Also a big thanks to Bubba for leading the charge on saturday, very nice to meet you and your wife, great people......

| x2 on the sphincter pucker, Tony! i looked down into that pit and thought there was no way i could make it out. my sheave cover was completely filled with mud from my submarine run, the belt was squealing, but i just let 'er rip. i hope somebody got a video of them bringing all the kids out of the buggies and down that hill. had a great time talking to all the forum members and finally putting a face to a screen name. you guys are the greatest! it was real cool to ride with all those (24?) rhinos • thanks to Tony & Dana for the gumbo, it was great and really hit the spot after the day's run • thanks to Teddy for the kamikaze run on James! i'm sure he doesn't give you that opportunity very often! • thanks to Luke for helping out that poor guy out in the creek. i think if you would have done a swan dive in that soup you would have become a youtube superstar! • thanks to Bubba and all the other wv sxs guys for helping out immensely and sharing your beautiful mountains with us heathen yankees! • thanks to Chris, for pulling me out of the soup and sharing your family with me! • thanks to Scott for towin' my old fat ass back to the camp. you are the best, man! • thanks to Flimmy for the great door prizes. and thanks to James and Nikki for putting together one of the best rides i've ever been on! you guys are the bestest and something that i learned the hard way: the left side is the right side!!! | |
