PostSubject: 14 inch terra cross   Thu Jun 13, 2013 10:25 am

I just traded my 2009 450 rhino for a 2009 700efi ducks unlimited , the 450 had a new set of 26 inch bighorns on 12 inch rims , and she rode pretty smooth (or it seemed it did at her speeds)the newer 700 got 26 inch terra cross radials on 14 inch itp rims , first ride seemed real rough .So i checked the tires and there were 15 psi in them . I then let the pressure down to 10 lbs and its a little better , how low psi would you go ? or is this tire set up a lot harder than my bighorns and i will not be able to do much about it ?
Thinking now of softing out the preload on the springs next

Mine had terra cross on it when I bought it then I went to the Big Horns. The BH's seem to ride a little softer and I ran them at 15 PSI. I have sense when to a different tire (BH knock offs) and I am back down to 10 PSI to get the smooth ride. Personally I would not go below 10 PSI because of the risk of bottoming out a tire and cutting the sidewall, but that is just personal preference.

Oh yea......mine are 26 X 14's

I have same tires on ITP rims, it is the nature of those tires, they are stiff, I like the durability and versatility though

I love my terracross. Guess I never noticed the rough ride.

I have 14" terracross tires and ITP wheels on my rhino I like the look but the 12" is a little softer ride due to more sidewall !

Are 12 inch rims really that much better then 14's on rhinos.
