PostSubject: Hello From Oregon   Fri Aug 02, 2013 1:10 am

Hey guys! After finally selling my raptor 700 and the wifes z400 I was able to get something that my wife would actually enjoy using with me. (she only rode her quad a handful of times in over 5 years) Found this nice clean 2007 Rhino 660 had almost 1K miles on it and some aftermarket things including the 4 seater custom cage, Seats with PRP harnesses, Black Rhino intake, and a dragonfire CDI. Those are the only things I could tell that were aftermarket everything else seems to be stock. I went through it all and stripped everything off it repainted/undercoated it and detailed it real good and changed some fluids and the plug. It seems to run great and will hit about 48mph with just me in it, but seems to take a lot to get going. Is this normal? We took it out with some friends and all loaded up with 4 People and an ice chest it would only like to do about 32. I've been forum stalking for a while now even before I had the rhino and JBS seems to have all the goodies I will need for her in the future. I plan on starting with a JBS machined sheave and then I saw Nate from ALBA offering the 686 kit for a very good price so I will probably hop on that deal also. Then some MAXXIS bighorns and maybe some Motosport alloys like I had on my raptor. Unless you guys have some better suggestions?? I would love to hear what you guys would do engine wise..wanting to stay under $1000 all said and done for then engine maybe 1500! Thanks for reading and sorry for the long first post!,
Nick

Welcome to the forum, Nick!
Nice looking rig!
With that mileage you prolly need to go into the primary for service anyway.
James can hook you up if you need any parts and will give honest answers to your questions, too bounce

Thanks guys I can already tell this is gonna be an awesome forum!
So I'm gonna get a hold of james probably next week but when I do I'm gonna ask him if I have to run a certain spring and weights with the machined sheave , if i do eventually plan on getting some sort of big bore kit. But to start me off I'll probably just order the Hot rod sheave and do the slugged wet clutch because that low end grunt and getting started is what seems to be the problem area.

@FLOGROWN : Ya, it's an old 5x10 trailer and it's a pain in the ass to get it off and on because it's a pretty tight fit, even with the stock tires and wheels. I've been looking on craigslist to find a nicer trailer with a ramp setup of some sort because I plan on getting bigger tires and wheels and it deffinitley wouldn't fit on this one if I did that.
