Just cruising in the summer, the gauge runs between 195 and 205. Running it real hard and dogging on it in Low Range for a long time in the summer will show 220. This is what it pretty much did with the stock motor. My temp sensor is in the hot side radiator hose.

I run Engine Ice. It doesn't make it run any cooler just cruising but it doesn't seem to let the temps soar as high when I dog on it.

Allow me to dredge up this thread for one more quick video.
The Rhino is running awesome. I love every minute of it.

Below you will find an acceleration run after all the top end mods. If this looks slow, it is because I am running 30x10x14 Maxxis Bighorns on 14" wheels (about 42lbs per corner). Also, the speedometer is somewhere around 10% slow according to my GPS. Still, you get an idea of how a mildly built 734 will accelerate with 30" tires and with a 3" lift. I personally think it runs pretty good.

My clutch is not set up 100% for these tires. The above run was with 16g weights in the JBS sheave and a gold secondary spring. I have a brand new set of 14g weights I intend to run but I am having so much fun riding that I don't want to take it apart and miss any ride time. I believe the 14g weight will let the engine build a few more RPM. You will notice that it does not hit the 8000RPM rev limiter when I let off at 56MPH (~60GPS). I also believe that my tuning could be a little better. It's pretty good but it's not perfect.

This motor build has been so fun and I have learned so much. Take a look at the video and let me know what you think.

EDIT: and just for fun, here is a very brief video of my hooking it down in the sandy riverbed.

I'm just checking back in to say that everything is still good.
I'm trying to still get my fuel right for the ported head. It's close but I think it could be a little better.
I'll warn you that the videos are not the best but you can see the gist.

Here's the raw acceleration file, about 0-40mph

And here's a video clip of our Labor Day ride.

I raced a stock Grizzly 700 EPS. He was all stock, down to the aluminum wheels and stock Dunlops. We raced a very short, sandy drag strip. My Rhino was running 26x9 Bighorns on stock aluminum wheels. The Grizzly beat me by about 2 quad lengths. I was having major problems hooking up. In 2WD and him in 4WD he pulled me out of the hole and pulled me by to the 2 or so lengths which he held till the end. Me launching in 4WD and him in 2WD had me pulling him out of the hole but once he hooked up he gained that two length lead.

I am spinning pretty hard even in 4WD. But overall, it was a good race. I feel like if we raced a longer race I'd stand a good chance of winning. The Grizz was just a lot faster accelerating at that track. Out on the trails and down in the sand (like in the 2nd vid) he could not lose me and I could have passed him when we were riding together.

I like good friendly races.
I'm still wanting to try those 14G weights I have sitting on my shelf.

I need a free weekend and a group of you guys to help me dial in this thing. I think I'm going to clean off all the sand and swap out my 16G weights for the 14G.

You don't think it'll over rev the powerband?

Nice ride, looks like your going down river, Chris if that Grizzly was pulling the same weight as you,he'd have been smoked no doubt.

Let me know what you think about your 14's I am running the 16's and was thinking about dropping to 15's myself. I worked an hour last night on my launch with auto tune over and over my neighbor finally came out and was like " you need some help or something with that thing why's it only going a couple feet and stopping?" I laughed and had to explain myself. Here is my map now and you can see my launch in BIG RED squares where auto tune tries to get the bog out by leaning it out. I was still in the low 12's on A/F with those numbers with 13 being my target.

I went ahead and changed the weights out to the 14G.
Big, big improvement for my setup. I mean, it pulled hard with the 16G but nothing like this. I still have my 26" tires on at the moment. It feels substantially faster but I have no times to back that up. All I can say is that it just keeps getting better. Tomorrow I'll get a chance to line up with a new Ranger 900. I'll let you know what happens. I expect a win.

I also will get to run hard out in the deep, loose creek sand. I expect plenty of roost. LoL

Anyway, here are a few random clutch shots of me tearing down the 16G setup. You'll notice I was running greaseless the last 200 miles... because my CVT cover was leaking. I had it greaseless while I diagnosed that issue. I did put it back greased. I prefer it with the grease.

Opened the cover:

Inside the sheave with about 200 miles of river riding. The belt got wet 2-3 times.

Hot Rod Sheave with about 1500 miles on it

Inside the sheave

Thanks for looking!

Keep me posted I'm still kicking around dropping weights myself to a mix of 14's and 16's and maybe a cam swap to a stock raptor cam for more low end but still some good topend.

Instead of mixing 14 & 16 to get 15 JBS carries 15's now.
