So I traded my stock airbox intake and cvt intake/exhaust for a snorkel set-up.  2" CVT intake/exhaust but only 1.5" air intake.  It seemed to run fine with this set-up but I had a feeling one 1.5" was not enough air so I made a 2" setup, still runs fine.  FWIW, I also have a K&N filter.   How do you know if you have to re-jet.

Only pic I have of the 1.5" setup.

If its running fine then go with it. I know for 660's you do need 2" intake for the carb. Just make sure they sealed. We stick a vacuum in it and put it on blow. And soapy water spray it down.

That's a good idea, the vacuum. It dies as soon as I cover up the intake with my hand. I'm taking it out tomorrow, so hopefully it will do alright.

you can use the vacuum or a smoke machine... fill them with smoke and the smoke will find the leak... promise..
