 what timing chain tensioner is better

ive been told by a few of u guys to ditch the stock 660 timing chain tensioner so witch is better to get one from a 700 or a manual one thanks

From what I have been told and read the 700 is the one to have so that's what I put in when I did my motor. But was told by a good motor guy that the 660 one is just fine. So just all in what you want.

The 660 tensioner is a screw type and has been known to back off, the 700 is a ratchet style and can't back off. 

Why install something that has been known to fail???

im still waiting on my piston an gaskets to get here to do my 686 ill be calling u soon james to get a 700 tensioner thanks

good call , the 660 tensioner is what got my motor jumped timing broke valve put valve though piston , 700 is the way to go

I was told by a few of u guys to ditch the 660 one an get a 700 one so ill be tearing down my rhino as soon as the piston shows up goin 10:1 je ported head stage 1 raptor cam so I figured I get the 700 tensioner while I was in there. thanks guys
