Alright so by the time this gets to y'all it will be third hand info, take it for what its worth.  My buddy has an 07 660 that won't start.  He said if he dumps gas in the carb it will fire up so I said the pick up was broke as they are notorious for that.   He then told me it had 70 miles on it my next question was is it for sale? Lol. He also said he could take the line off the carb and suck gas through it?  So is it the fuel pump?   I'll leave it up to the experts?

mess with the rhino you get the horn!

Sounds like he has a priming problem, a ball primer or an electric fuel pump would fix it.There have been material, sealer plugging the pick up if it is not cracked.

i had a hard time starting and did that too.
i went to ORielly's auto parts store and spent about $50.00 and bought a low flow 12 fuel pump for boats/atv/lawn mowers. i also bought about 4 feet of fuel line and about 6 feet of wire. i connected the suction of the electric fuel pump to suck from the gas tank and discharge to the inlet of the stock fuel pump. you might need to do this because the stock pump acts like a pressure regulator so you do not over flow the carb. that is it simple.
been working great for 2 years. start right up every time.
