Any pilots here? Anyone want to learn to fly?

Hello guys and gals.  My wife and I love flying.  We fly powered parachutes, aka, ppc's.  This is me taking off.  I'm a Certified Flight Instructor.  I can give you instruction to get you a Sport Pilot license.

This one is of Mollie.  We have since sold this aircraft and bought her another one.  She was a low-time pilot at the time of this video.



And in this one I'm over 3,000 above ground level.  You can see the instruments and my climb rate is 300' per minute and you can see the altimeter continue to increase.  The runway is visible near the end of the video.  That runway is 2,150' long, to give you some scale.  This 3rd video is over Morristown, TENN.

I see a PPC flying over my place all the time. I'd love to learn to fly and have been in a 172 and 152
. A friend in hs has his lic and went up with him a few times.

Scott, PA isn't that far from me.  You could come to me, or I could come to you.  Most people can solo with only about 4hrs of training:  2 or 3 hours in the morning and then 1 or 2 in the evening.  If you want to fly a two seater, then you'll have to get a Sport Pilot license.  If you want to fly a single seater, there is no license required, provided that the single seater meets a the requirements of Federal Aviation Regulation 103.  The FAR 103 states that it can have only one seat, can carry no more than 5 gallons of fuel, and it can weigh no more than 254lbs empty with all of the useable gas and all of the useable oil removed.  So, to fly a 103 you could possible get all of the training in one day.  We could even do a quid pro quo.

Reading my last post, I realized I need to stress the Sport Pilot requirements.  It's not difficult to get a Sport Pilot license.  In fact, the Sport Pilot license was developed by the FAA to create an inexpensive way for people to learn to fly.  Sport Pilot does not require you to have a Medical Certificate.  Your driver's license is your Medical Certificate.  You can learn the ground school on your own, to save you more money.

Yep, ours have Rotax 582cc, 65hp, 2 stroke, aircraft engines, these 582's are the most popular.  These are Experimental Light Sport Aircraft, that means that you can do to them just about anything that you want, including installing any engine you want.  I have seen one that had a Honda Fit engine, and a few with Geo engines.  Even one in Top Hat, KY that had a small jet engine.
