| Let's play a Turkeyday game and test your muscle car knowledge. What is the make, model, year and engine of this old klunker? If you guess right, how many were made? Good luck Maybe the passenger side will help ya | |

all you had to see were the flags and you knew you were in trouble lol your daddy's sleeper I'm impressed Denny, you know your muscle cars, my Dad special ordered it in 1965. He paid 2300 bucks. The dealer thought he was gonna race it, but he just wanted a car to keep up the fords, pontiac's, chrysler's and still be able to fill up the trunk and go camping. When he gave me the car I was 15, he had put 260,000 miles on it and it would still smoke the tires thru the gears. We did and ground up resto which kept me out of trouble till it was done at the end of my senior year. Though I can honestly tell ya I never got a ticket in it, just pulled over a lot cus the cops wanted to look at it. From my research, I have found it to be a very rare car. Its a blast to drive and suprises a lot of people. It will run 12.50's all day. | |

| i worked as a "lot boy" in my teens (60s). for fun i would scour the NADA books they used in those days and check out specifications and prices. one time i was supposed to get a 66 corvette over a weekend but got a ticket driving a car to the columbus auto auction. my dad wouldn't let me have it. still pissed about that one. there was a guy that lived in indiana that had one. the only thing that could keep up with him was a 66 GTO that the guy "massaged." no rich boys in my old hood, but the ones on the other side of town knew better than to come over and "play." saw one at the many car auctions i attended. it sold for under $800 (!!!). in those days (70s) the gas shortages caused a real panic in the muscle car industry that destroyed a lot of them forever. don't know how many were built, could prolly look it up. she's a beaut. definitely holds sentimental value for you. yeah, those bigguns are a lot of fun with stock tires. got some pix of that big ole 4-speed growing out of the floor? | |

| cool story Denny, I have pic's but not digital. I have 295/50's on the rear which I can smoke easily. When I was street racing and running at the track I had street legal hoosiers that hooked real good. I have not had a lot of time in the last 4years to drive her, been busy with my son, but now that he is older its time to take him around just as my dad did for me...cool stuff huh? | |

| Beautiful cars guys, my wagon also belonged to my dad. My parents divorced in 1973 and I had only seen my dad one time when I was in Jr high. When I had kids I felt obligated to let him know he was a Grandpa so we tracked him down with a little help from our local cop buddy, we found him in a little town in Cali called Ione, it's up North by Jackson. We ended up making a 12 hr drive and finally was able to meet him, been very close ever since. He restored this 55 Bel Air wagon which took close to 12 years to complete and he finally finished it he drove from Cali to my house about 8 years ago to Utah and handed me the keys and said this is for all of the Birthdays I have missed! He stayed for a few days and rode the train home. | |
