Heck yeah! That was pretty awesome. I've never pit raced before, but it looked like the Rhino was doing pretty darn good turning those Outlaws. My first reaction to the mud pit racing was that it's just a muddy water hole. Then I realized that some of those pits have a deep layer of soupy mud on the bottom. So all the better!
Our mud doesn't have much water. It's horrible and sticky and has a high clay base to it. Some spots you are lucky just to make it, much less race! lol
None the less, awesome job Mike! Guys like you and James and Nate are showing people that the Rhino may be old but it isn't dead. It's a well built machine with tons of potential.
I love it when the Polaris boys over on Highlifter consider the Ranger 500 to be superior to the Rhino in every way possible. I had one tell me I was a fool for buying a Rhino when a Ranger 500 would clown on my Rhino 700 any day, in any kind of competition imaginable: racing, mudding, trail riding; I name it and he would beat my ass. I just lol'd
Oh, this thread stirred up some good memories!
