Loud thump under 2013 Rhino

When I push the four wheel drive button on the Rhino I get a loud thumping/vibrating noise coming from under the floorboard. I can feel it in my feet even. As soon as I take it out of four wheel drive its gone. It almost sounds like the front driveshaft is hitting the floors or something. I can't see anything loose or obvious that would cause this. Anyone else heard of this or have any ideas? Not been abused and only has 53 miles on it......

Mine doesn't "thump"... it does vibrate tho.  Just for shits-n-giggles (if you're still under warranty) ,  take it back to the dealer , and see what they tell you .

They will probably say " we have this new side by side that will be here in a couple months...let me tell you about all the innovative and amazing features it has and how much better is is than you out dated old machine."

I thought about taking it back to the dealer but its just a hassle to get there. Sounds like its a common thing with others so it cant be all that bad. Appreciate it fellas.

Mine has a light vibration at all speeds in 4x4. It has a light thump that I can almost count when I'm running between 10 and 15 mph.  My guess is the driveshaft is not balanced and the gears are not setup as good as the rear.  I don't hear gear noise from the front, but couldn't anyway due to the engine and exhaust.  Mine smooths out the harder I run it, but I do feel a roughness in it.

If James' has always done it, I wouldn't worry.  If it's a big thump like you are afraid to even move in 4x4 because it may come through the floor and hurt  you, then you may want to take it in.

Mine has a vibration too at all speeds in 4x4.  I had my floorboards out this weekend swapping widebands and I grabbed the front drive shaft it had some play at the coupler straight under the gear shift.

I can feel it in my feet and hear it. The best I could describe the sound is that if you were to sit a split piece of wood on the floor and it was vibrating around while the Rhino was idling. It does go away at certain RPM's however. I don't remember my 450 ever doing this so it was concerning but it sounds like it may be fine.

Pull your cup holder out and engage it and watch it.  There isn't much for it to hit down there.  The air box runs right beside it on one side and the cooling lines on the other.

Ill see what I can find out soon and will report back.
