04 style intake???

I hear people talking about it and how it quiets the cab down. anyone have any pictures and some info on how to do it? sounds like what im looking for. I know you have to clean your air filter more often but thats a small price to pay really in my mind.

Remove the short snorkel tube between the air box and ram air vent on the arm rest. Then you can plug off the vent on the ram air intake with what ever works best for you. Pretty simple operation. Try it out easy to put back if you want. Dancing Banana

Just make sure that if you do put it back to OEM that you remove whatever you covered the air vent with lol
after I put mine back to OEM I forgot to remove the Duct tape and an hour later when I decided to start it, it wouldn't start and I kept thinking WTF? it was running fine a little while ago and then it hit me I forgot to remove the tape and it was sealing off the intake Very Happy

I have an 04 660 Rhino..to quiet mine down I snokeled it to right behind the frt grill..then added a trackter filter from home depot to the frt..just resultly bought a pre-filter for the uni-filter..so far works very well..found the snokel info from the "other site " years ago..do a search, think it was under quieting...also I added the Benz silencer muffler behind the factory unit..had exhaust tip moded to 1 1/2 id / 11/2 od..cut out factory 11/8 od & had new one welded in..just a thought..Danny

I just removed the tube on top of the air box that attaches to the inlet on the cover. Covered the vent (on the cover) and it did decrease the noise. I have been messing with the carb lately and need a good place to buy some jets. Where is the best place to get um? These things are for sure lean from the factory. I don't have an AFM, but after adjusting the a/f screw, I can smell the richness in the exhaust now at idle. Also starts a ton better.
