| New from Beckley area...Just purchased used '12 Rhino 700 Camo, W/less than 100 miles on it. I have to admit at this time I am not looking to trick it out HOT ROD STYLE, but I am interested in learning more about adding more top speed via a "CDI" or other noninvasive method. Mainly will be using for trailriding, and hunting...but would like to "have it if I need it". Heard about this forum and good service/advice via old threads on rhino forums. Any advice on simple changes to up top speed, without endangering machine is more than welcome. | |

| Hello Danno ! Welcome to the forum. I am a 660 guy, but I think on the 700, the Hotrod sheave kit is the best and FIRST step for faster. On the 660, You do a CDI first. Either way, James at JBS will hook You up. He is straight forward and will not lead You wrong or overcharge You. | |

| welcome to the site....post up some pictures if you get a free min. Also a CDI and a sheave will make your Rhino a different machine entirely. | |

| Guys, correct me if I'm wrong, but on the 660 You need to do the CDI first, then the Sheave for best gains. On the 700, You can do the Sheave first and get the most gain. If memory serves me well, the sheave kit will put the 700 to around 50 mph with stock CDI and You get the "low end" also. | |

| I would consider the Sheave to be "non-invasive" as well. If you are worried about endangering the machine that is the way to go. It really does not change anything except the to increase the range of travel on the belt. It actually is eaiser on the machine because you have a lower gear to start in and at speed you can have a little lower RPM. There is no downside.
Like everyone else, I'll suggest you call James. He is great to deal with. he will give you the facts and won't try to sell you something you don't want.
Firefighter: the 660 will need a CDI to get more top speed even with the Sheave.

| Welcome to the site. If you want to add some top speed and some pulling power for hauling you and your hunting buddy out of the woods with the deer in the back start with the JBS sheave for sure. | |

| thanks, ive heard alot about the sheave, again first UTV, First Rhino, First look at upgrading. I am not looking for something that would ruin the investment made into a machine I have only had for a week.
The previous postings I saw on Rhino Forums, and the proximity to me is what led me to this site.
Where is James shop located?

Thats an Odes 180 Blade. RZR 170 Clone. I know, I know, but its all I could get my kids around here. If I could find a baby Rhino here trust me I would. Dealer cant even get me a 450 and if they could I wouldnt use my local stealership (untrustworthy due to past experience) The dealer I got it from didnt have anything else at the time. Since he has received a bunch of RZR 170's however this Odes has a lot of options that the 170 just dont have. There is a lot of argument over these on the RZR forums but they are made only a short distance apart and are basically the same. Also about 1/2 the cost of the 170 was a factor. There were too many scammers on CL and finally I found one locally that I could actually touch prior to ordering and buying. My wife also fits in it perfectly.

Yeah its a sharp looking machine. Right now under break-in got the restrictor about 1/4 open. That is fine for my wife when she rides the oldest son 2 1/2. We still trying to find a DOT helmet for the baby 1 this month. Here's a very short video. Dont want to jack the thread. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZmUI5uDlb_A
