| You guys running the LED light bars, what are you doing to protect your investment? How much abuse can these type of mods take? ie.. branches would be my concern. | |

| I'm in the same boat. Want to do a 40 in across the top where my lights are now. Looking at modifying my rack with a pipe / bar across top and bottom of light, out just a little bit for protection. | |

| I don't have any protection for mine and have hit branches and had it buried in the dirt when I rolled and they held up fine. I know I'm taking a chance and would probably mount where James said or have a bar over them if they were mounted on top of the cage. | |

| Do most of the bars have bolt/screws on the ends of the bars to adjust the angle on the bar. If so a person could just turn the bar face down when not using the lights? I'm wondering if you put something in front for proection you would scatter the light beam. | |

| I would think readjusting the light would make it prone to move when you dont want it to. I used a little drop of loc-tite on mine to keep in place. I will have to look into making a quick release mount. the lights have a weather proof plug on the end. So it could be removed pretty easy. Post a bigger pic of your Rhino with the windshield so i can see what there is to work with. | |

| The light bar that is on mine right now has a hand screw that You can take out and fold the whole bar down, when not in use. The bars I was talking about would be from side to side. Parallel. The the light would be mounted inset like a half inch or so. | |

| Firefighter , I would keep the 3 vert. bars and mount it behind them. I don't think you would notice any loss in light aspecially with a combo bar. I think the flood part would wash out the shadows. I'll have to do some testing tonight when it gets dark. | |

I'll have to do some testing tonight when it gets dark. That is an idea. The 40in bar I want is actually a single row, which is spot only. Also thought about 2 20in

| the single row ones are 2.5 deep and 3" high and the mounts are different and can be adjusted the complete width of the light. I'll post some pic's of the mounts in a little bit. | |

Watched the Rigid Vid on there LED light; Damn!

| Kenny G it looks like you could use the tab at the top of the cage to mount a light. The double row lights I'm selling have the mounting hole on the side of the light. If there is a gap you can use a piece of tube/pipe to take up the gap and use a longer bolt. Now this is for a 40" bar. | |

| From the center pin bolt on the LED Bar, what is the measurement to the back of the light bar shield? Can you get longer than 40"? | |

| I know this is a fairly old post but I wanted to add that my VisionX has been mounted to the top of my roof (front) for a year. I take my Rhino through my woods with plenty of overhanging branches and every time I hear a thud I am worried that it has moved it or damaged it. However it has not moved and doesnt have a scratch. I also ordered a military grade switch and harnes for it at time of purchase. I ren the wire across the top then down the roll bar, put some of Red and Green's favorite stuff on the wire (duct tape or better known as 100mph tape) no problems with wire being pulled. I porchased longer studs to go through the roof, large SS washers on both ends to sandwich the plastic roof and foam and a lock washer on the bottom with nut. Sorry its on my trailer after a hard days work. | |
