| Hey carb guys, What is Your choice in fuel additives. Looking more for a carb maintenance / cleaner and ethanol fix. I run through about a tank a weekend, so it is not setting for any length of time. I also run super unleaded. The owner of the station I use says His super has no ethanol, but I figure that is BS.

| ethanol is hygroscopic (it attracts water) and after extended storage times will cause your fuel to be less combustible. i have used this site over the years to convince people to use premium fuel at least in the first few months of riding, because along with the additional volatility, it contains additives that help clean the fuel system: http://www.fuel-testers.com/ethanol_engine_precautions.htmlalso it's a good idea to use premium when you're gonna let the bike sit for extended periods. some of the fuel additives actually increase the hygroscopic tendencies because they contain alcohol, so be careful what you add. in any event i think using fresh premium fuel in an air-tight container is the best answer. | |

| hey firefighter, i just remembered that we were in that stupid oil thread on that other forum that shall remain unnamed. couldn't believe that butthead arguing that multi-weight oils don't hold up in rhinos. and then he called us ignorant because we weren't buying it. too bad it took about 26 pages of b.s. and about $75 in oil tests for him to figure out he was putting automobile oil in his bike instead of motorcycle oil. he kinda hid for awhile after he got the tests back on the motorcycle oil, huh?  another fine example of the arrogance on that forum that shall remain unnamed... | |

| had a problem a while back rhino missing, poping , general shitty running changed plug, nothing, fuel filter, nothing adjusted valves, cleaned carb nothing bought and added STARTRON fuel treatment from walmart, for ethanol in fuel, ran great . ever since i run it in almost everything i have. damn shitty fuel. startron works!!

| My older brother is a Mercury outboard mechanic, he got me started on STARTRON Enzyme Fuel Treatment. Mercury makes their own brand but this is what the mechanics recommend. I have used it in my quad, Rhino, generator and all my small engines. Never had a problem starting, before I would let the gas in the quad and boat motor sit too long, and have a hard time starting and running until I got the old gas out. I am in Calif. and they have us on all kinds of blends in the gas.
My opinion is that Startron works. | |
