| Hey Man, Good to see ya ! Not trying to answer for Hotrod, but mine looked like that at 500 miles. The main reason I went back with grease. That black dust is pretty easy to blow out and clean up, but stand back when You blow it out. HAHA I believe Hotrod said that is real fine dust that is working between the weights, camplate and sheave. | |

| fair enough, so the question is, is it something I should be worried about? Even if you go to grease, the same dust will get in there won't it? I'd rather just blow it out than have to clean and regrease all the time. 1200km is probably 800miles | |

| Hotrod will have a better answer, but I dont think You have anything to worry about. If you were going through a lot of water, that would gum up and cause Your sheave not to operate at 100%. The grease absorbs all that dust and keeps it performing at its best. I still like the idea of grease less and if You dont have any problems, its a lot easier to maintain.
Like I said, this will better answered by James. Just my 2 cents And He is probably already in bed. HAHA | |
