| What have you guys with custom cages found works best for a cage roof. Also, if you're using a head-liner what is working best for you; or what would you change about your roof setup if you had to do it over? Thanks. | |

| I have a 4 seat roll cage and this is not a joke but my mom stitched me up a camo canvas top for it. Added some little metal eyelets around the edges and we secure it on with velcro straps; simple, inexpensive, and effective for that desert heat! | |

| I used aluminum and put some rubber tape in between the roof and cage so it wouldn't rattle. I just riveted it to the cage. | |

| Get a bikini top for a jeep and cut it up. That's what I did on my old rock crawler | |

| I used sheet metal for my stock cage but I think it would be to heavy for a 4 seater unless its super thin. | |

| On my stock cage and my new Lone Star cage I used aluminum. I've seen to many fabric tops get snagged and rip! They also don't fare to well going down the highways. | |

| Steve, How did you secure your top down? I've got tabs on the four corners. Would hold it down but would probably flex and rattle. | |

| I have a sheet of stainless steel that the PO put on with the front window which is plexi glass. I like it but It rattles and i tried some campers tape with not much luck i may get more pipe insulation from the hardware store and use it in a few spots. I used a bunch of it around the kids back seat on all the braces. | |

| It wasn't that hard with the right rivet gun. I just used long SS rivets. I found the aluminum ones started breaking. | |

| Yep I drilled one hole at a time and a friend had a HD rivet gun. I clamped the roof to the cage using the big c channel vise grips. You have to use the SS rivets. Anything else will break after a ride or 2 | |

| Nope the same size, most of the rivets will tell you what size hole to drill. Drill it so it just fits. | |

| I went with thin sheet metal, headliner, and small self tapping screws. Worked great and allows me to remove it if I need to. | |

Did you pre drill holes for the screws? Why I'm asking is I was enclosing the storage box under the drivers set and had some self-tapping screws from a metal building we put up and twisted two of them off about half way in. Figured if they'd go into red iron they'd go into the seat base. Screws just to weak? | |
