| Just installed HotRod Sheave. Buttoned everything up, went for test run, got back to garage and found this part. Don't remember removing it. What is it? Where does it go? And is it even off the Rhino? It's about 5/8" long. Tony | |

| Yep, from the cage around primary sheave. You will definitely want to put that back in so that nothing cracks. | |

| Ran well. I just torn it down. Found where the bushing goes on the cage. While I was at it, I took off the sheave to check weights. Everything is fine. | |

| This is off topic. I have a purple spring to change out on the primary along with the anti friction washers. By changing from stock to the purple, will I gain top end speed? Now, with the Hot Rod Sheave, 16 gram weights, greased, and Dynatek CDI, I'm topping out at around 45-46. Stock, before the mods, rev limiter was kicking in at 39-40. | |

| Those dowel sleeves are all over the engine. Usually any bolt component that needs to be closely aligned with another component has a pair of dowel sleeves. This is true of most of the various case covers, case halves and the plastic outer cover for the sheaves, as well as the cage that you are working with. Another thing that might not be obvious, at first glance, is that the bolts that go through these sleeves are usually a little longer than the other bolts in the bolt pattern for that part's attachment. | |
