| Alright guys if you were given the choice between a 2006 2500 lly duramax 4x4 crew cab white cloth interior 140,000 miles or a 2005 3500, 6 speed stick, single rear wheel 4x4 silver, leather interior, long bed, 100,000 miles. What would you choose? | |

| Get the crew automatic. Crew cab trucks are the best thing that's happened since the Rhino. | |

| you need to decide if you get tired of shifting or not . I have a 2001 f 350 power stroke auto 4x4 crew long bed dually if I had a do over single rear wheel, maybe straight shift for the better fuel burn but the shift thing would get old | |

| The mileage on both isnt too bad so its up to you. Its all on your personal taste. I've had 4 Cummins a 2000 auto, 2001 auto , 2003 auto , 2007 6spd. I loved them all. The 6 spd wasnt bad shifting. When empty you can shift it 2-4-6 . The 03 was a 3500 srw the rest were 2500's. Now I have an 04 F350 cc sb V10 auto. I sold the 07 to buy land and build a new house. Its a nice truck I just wish it had a Cummis maybe when the motor goes I'll swap in a Cummins | |

| Cant beat a good looking proven cummins with a 6 spd tranny clutches are cheaper to buy or upgrade than building an auto that will hold up to high power when you get bit by that bug. my .02 crew cab all the way | |

| hard to beat a cummins as well as long as you're hearing impaired. My duramax with s&b intake, silverline exhaust, super chip programmer +75 injectors vgt turbo is still quitter in the cab. So figure out what's important to you | |

| both are great trucks, its really up to you thow, do you want to shift or not? they both have issues depending on what you are going to end up wanting to do with them.. The stick will probably get better mileage as the cummin usually did over the duramax.. good luck and enjoy owning a diesel.. | |

| I have an 06 Ram, cummins & 6 speed. Crew cab long bed. Almost 100k on it. Does very good on fuel going to work. Shifting does get a little old. But I don't like the duramax engine. I had to fix one in the past. Worst pain the ash I ever encountered. A diesel is supposed to have cylinders in a straight line. Just another guys .02 cents. | |

| I can't wait I don't if the deal is going to pan out or not though. The guy is in texas and I need a 6 months to a year to do the deal. don't mind the shifting, I live a mile from school and maybe two from where I might be able to get a job:lol!: I rode in another buddy of ours 06 cummins crew cab long bed and boy did it have some torque! | |
