Anyone Know 2014 Info Yet???

Get'n close to a month away for announcement!

Anybody know anything on the new 2014s?

most likly just another color change

i heard from a good source that passed up buying a 2013 cause the dealer told him that in 2014 there comming out with a twin 4 seater 950
maybe just dealer hyp but lets hope so

The only facts we know is that Yamaha is re-tooling or has already re-tooled their production plant in Georgia. I think it's pretty safe to say that something new is coming from Yamaha for the off-road world in June.

Will it be a Sxs? Or a Sport/Utility 4WD ATV? Or a Sport ATV?
Nobody knows and the bodys that do know aren't going to risk their jobs by saying something. NDA are for real.

Recent history has shown Yamaha brings a new powerplant to the Sport ATV lineup first. I'm pretty sure the 660 motor debuted in the Raptor, then in the Grizzly, then in the SxS. The same was true for the 700 fuel injected motor. I could be wrong about that history but that's what I seem to recall when it came to flagship, big bore models.

That's not to say Yamaha could change the game at any moment. Personally, I think the field is ripe for a harvest. Even Honda made some substantial changes to the Big Red SxS this year, and Honda is the world's worst about releasing new products regularly.

The fact is, the Rhino and the Grizzly are due for a change. I don't see Yamaha sinking a lot of money into developing, R&D'ing, and releasing two different off road vehicles in one model year. If I were a betting man, I'd guess the Grizzly ATV would be the one with a makeover this year... if anything were getting a makeover consisting of more than new colors and graphics.

The 4WD ATV market is hot and there is a lot of competition. However, the powersports world seems to be leaning in the SxS direction the last few years. So who knows! LoL

My head looks for a new big bore 4WD ATV.
My heart looks for a new SxS.
My heart has been broken many times by Yamaha.

I have heard 3 new SXSs will be released later this year, sold as 2014 models.
No more Rhino!
1) 50" model for the narrow trails.
2) 4 seat utility
3) New sport model using the Genisus engine(detained to 120 hp).

Going to have to wait and see....hope it's true!

fuck ive been excited too many times on my dealer says yamaha has been around for way too long to let the cat outa the bag this is the biggest new market they have hit since the moto4.....they sure might be retooling the factory but id say nothing is certian on engine or style. they really dont need to be the best or the fastest the rhino proved that shawn

I feel like the dealer would be the last place for any "leaks." Those guys could lose their jobs over a violation of an NDA. Our best bet would be to if someone on the assembly line leaked a photo or something. They could still get in trouble but it'd be harder for Yamaha to pinpoint a photo leaked on the Internet than a dealer publicly releasing news before the official release date.

The only thing my dealer said was they were bringing out a new model in June and another in July and that I would want the July model. And my name is on the first one. That being said, I'd have to get rid of the 550 grizzly. The rhino has joined my 2001 Harley road king classic. Both will be with me till I fricken die.

i cant wait. but i am so surprised that yamaha does not design a high performance SXS that can smash all others like 450 quad. but we will see, cant wait!

I personaly think rhinos are the best looking ones out there
everything else is just plan ol ugly
when I bought mine I could have got anything bank said go get what ya want
I looked at a lot and still went with a 06 660
that's gotta tell ya something a 7 yr old rhino still looks better than a brand new Polaris or cat or can am

We have enough giants on the trail that you can't pass or they make three point turns around those corners. Make it light, fast and good looking and a box.

When I traded for my 2012 in November the salesman looked around as if to not be heard, and he said quietly, "If you want something like the rzr you had, you might want to wait, because two new side by sides are comming this summer. One of them may make you wish you waited". I asked what it was, and he said "I know nothing about it other than what I just told you". He said 3 new models and two were side by sides.

Now, here is my opinion on the new vs old. I will not trade my rhino in on the new machine no matter how bad ass it is. Reason being, I can shove a rzr or rzr s through the woods without any trouble with the mods I have now. That's all the performance I need to have a good time. On the big gravel/dirt roads, the wider machines are faster, but in the woods, I have no trouble keeping up with any of the machines out there now. Narrow trails with sharp turns is where the rhino rules over everything, and that's what most trails are around here. So, if you have a rhino, don't give up on it. But, if you are in the market for a new machine anyway, then why not wait and see what happens.

I bet Yamaha has been working on something for years, but they won't sell us something that needs work every 300 miles. I bet they have been testing a long travel suspension, high hp machine trying to figure out how to make it hold up to abuse. I bet it even had rzr plastics on it so nobody would notice it. That's what I would have done if I were them. I hope my theory is right.
