| Can any one give me a rough idea of what all is involved in changing the stator in a 09 Rhino? What parts do I need and how much do they cost? Is there anything inside that a guy has to watch out for?
Any one please let me know

| Not a hard job. Of course , you need the stator...you'll make less of a mess , if you take the plug out under the water pump first; and , catch all of the antifreeze. And yeah , you need to drain the oil , before you do that...kinda got ahead of myself. I hear you can do it without taking out the gas tank...I dunno about that...I took my tank out. It is not a hard job , by any means...it is time consuming tho. Take your time , have all the parts on hand ; and , by all means , be patient. If you run into problems , you can pm me ; and , I'll call ya , and help walk ya thru it !! | |

| Ok thanks guys, I have been busy and haven't had time to check it out yet. Had it running today and the volt readout on the dash was around 11.5 to 11.9 so what should it be? Is it possible it is just a ground wire or the voltage regulator?? | |

| I'd expect it to be around 13.8 volts. There is a thread on how to test the stator. | |

| The stator is mounted to the cover no need to pull the fly wheel. But removing the fuel tank will man's it a lot easier | |

| I will be taking mine apart here the next couple days. It started in the garage and then suddenly died and lurched. Then there was no power at all I thought I popped a fuse or relay. Started looking at fuses and then tried the ignition again now have gauges but no crank and CPS code displayed. Fuel pump does not even kick.
So frustrated I ride Yamaha to not have to work on them now my mtn max and rhino are dead.
