Thanks! I enjoy filming our rides and taking pics. But as some of you know, there usually ends up with precious little footage of the camera guy! LoL I got some footage of us racing down a short sand drag strip. The Teryx4 800 was able to squeek out a win against the Ranger 900XP!
Here's a vid of the drag race. I was able to beat the Ranger 900. We raced in 2WD. When we raced in 4WD, I was able to beat him by a longer margin. Not too bad for a 4 seater that weighs over 1500lbs. haha!

What is the top speed on that new machine, Chris ?
The ECU governs it to 50mph in High Range, 30mph in Low Range, and 15mph in DIFF LOCK despite the range selected. The stock rev limit is somewhere around 8500rpm. Several shops have a "tuner" which enlocks the speed restrictions; then they run about 63-64mph on stock sized tires.

that's pretty impressive. when I got out of the popo's it was a toss up between the rhino and the Teryx.

What about 0-30 acceleration compared to Your "built" Rhino ?

I hear you. When I got out of my Grizzly in 2010, I looked at the [now older] 2011 Teryx 750 two seater. I just could not get on board with the slip-and-grip belt design. Those Teryx and Brute Force ATVs were bad on belts, particularly if you rode them like we ride them. Similarly, that gen Kawasaki had the progressively locking front differential. I was not real big on that feature. When I saw the new Teryx4 and how it had a new motor, new clutch setup, and new front diff like the Yamahas I was interested.

It's hard to say, Larry. I'm pretty confident that the Rhino would take it easily in a drag race. The longer the race the worse the Teryx would get beat. However...
... the Teryx motor is strong. I've written before how the V-twin doesn't seem to be burdened by adding weight to the vehicle in the same way as the Rhino did. The Rhino noticed a steep lose in performance when weight was added. For example, I could feel a big loss in power by adding a 200lb passenger in the front and then another 200lb passenger in the rear rumble seat. The Teryx does not seem to be so affected by the weight in the same way. I would be willing to bet the Teryx would edge out my old Rhino if both vehicles had 3 or 4 adults in them. I could be wrong, but it sure feels that way to me.
