| One of the first changes was the winch mount. Factory location was completely useless for me. Started checking on web for ideas. Found Montana Jacks. Very nice set up, but way to expensive. Decided to build my own. Over to tractor supply for parts. This is a pic of the first piece of the puzzle. Welded hitch receiver to original winch mount plate. | |

| Winch setting in place. This is what I wanted for cutting firewood. Winch ready and easily used. Winch plate welded to a drop down adjustable hitch. | |

| This is the fancy piece I copied from Montana jack. The winch rotator. Not fancy, but turns winch 90' for plow. | |

| With plow mounted and hooked up, ready for use. The plow itself mounts in the lower receiver of the winch mount. The winch cable now runs straight to plow. Doesn't touch fairlead, and no more broken cable. Plus it only takes 10 minutes to hook up. I did this because the way the plow hooked from new SUCKED so bad. But about 120 bucks at Tractor Supply and a Sat afternoon, those days are done. | |

Sorry I didn't this post till today. The cable came with the winch. I haven't installed it yet. 2 reasons, haven't needed it yet and to lazy to remove winch contactor. It's bolted to glove box on air cleaner side. Didn't want it getting wet, but very hard to get to. | |

| Floor board protection, the really cheap way. Needed to replace rght side floor pan. Wanted to offer some protection but didn't have any money left, sooooo this is what I did. It's not pretty but should do the job. Might get me honorary redneck award or something. Here goes with the pics thing. | |

| Floor removed. Easy job, drill out rivets, remove screws. Do it when its warm though. Factory floorpan flexes better. | |

| This part was a bitch. Used a bottle jack, the jack handle itself braced off tierod and propane torch. Heated plate and bent and braced to get rivets in. Started at bootom of curve and worked up. I know it ant pretty but hopefully it will protect the floorpan from getting broken again. If it does get busted though, I'll buy a spool gun for my welder and weld a nice aluminum piece to fit. | |

| Question, does anybody hate removing the console to grease the ujoint by the engine? I do, such a pita! What the hell was Yamaha thinking? I rectified the situation after I was done with the floor pan. See pics. | |

| Here are both pieces back in place and screwed down. A little more trimming will be needed when I get a piece of weatherstrip to fill in gap. Good to go for now. Got 7k on original ujoints so far, trying to get 10k before replacing. Greasing them regularuly and that fnnn console just pissed me off trying to get out. | |
