| I stuck my Rhino in the river. It was really quite awesome. The river was previously out of its banks following a heaving rain a week or so earlier. When the river returned to its normal level, we went riding. Most importantly, we found a spot that was pure quicksand! I suppose the bottom near some of the new sandbars had not yet firmed up. The result was one stuck Rhino! Check it out! https://youtu.be/7UlhwQDxuLUBe sure to watch the video above. Watch carefully once the winch starts pulling how it won't even come up on top the ground is so soft. It was pretty cool! | |

| Yes, those are Radial Outlaws. I bought them about a year ago and when I got tired of them he bought them from me.
And that sand you hear grinding at the brakes is the reason we can't keep a set of pads longer than a couple hundred miles. LoL!!!

That river/creek sand will also put a shine on your new black SS rims that ya can't take off.

Ehh, their weight was a big detractor for me. Those are the skinny-wide combo: 27x9.5 and 27x12 which weigh 37lbs and 39lbs, respectively. I am not against heavier tires, but I think the Radial Laws are hyped up a lot by Highlifter. The Radial 'Laws are good tires (I've owned them in the 27s which you saw in the vid, and I had them in 28s on a Grizzly), however I think you pay a big price to run them. They weigh as much as most full-on mud tires like regular Outlaws and Silverbacks, but they don't mud quite as well as those tires. Likewise, they ride smoother than a full-on mud tire but not quite as smooth as a trail tire like the Bighorn or such. The Radial Outlaw is in a weird category where it muds better than a Zilla or Mud Lite but needs more power to turn than a Zilla or Mud Lite. But is does not mud or paddle as well as the regular Outlaw or Silverback but needs almost the same power to turn. Finally, the Radial Outlaw seemed to need more wheelspeed to truly start pulling like a Radial Outlaw should. When my Rhino was only modded with a JBS sheave, I could not spin them fast enough in 4WD to get that beautiful Outlaw "paddle effect" where the tire starts truly cleaning and hooking up hard. This meant that in waterless, thick mud, my highly prized Radial Outlaws would not take me much, if any, farther than a set of Zillas or Bighorns. In fact, the guy on Bighorns went farther in one shallow hole because he could spin the Bighorns fast enough to get them to clean out a little. I truly did not mean for this to sound like a dig on the Radial Outlaws. They were the best tires I ever owned on my Grizzly. They'd start slipping and I'd gas it hard and huge chunks of mud would come flying out of those cleats and it would start hooking up hard. It was an awesome feeling. I could easily go farther than anyone else who had Zillas, Mud Lite, Swamp Lites, etc. I could follow the Outlaws in a lot of places. But on the Rhino they just didn't work out too well for me and for our trails, especially for the weight and acceleration penalty you pay to run them. Check out the 28" Radial Outlaws I ran on my Grizzly. I loved them! This could all be the fact they they were the 27" Radial 'Laws. The 28s I had were much beefier with taller lugs. The 30's I have seen were even more impressive than the 28s. The carcass of the tire is also very tough. You're not going to rip a sidewall out of a Radial Outlaw; heck no! They are some of the toughest tires you can buy. I'm half-tempted to get my buddy to swap tires and wheels again now that I have a little more power to turn the tires faster in the thick stuff. I wonder if my impression would still be the same?

Yes, I would say so. They will belly a little in the rear with 0PSI, but they didn't have a problem supporting the weight of a 2 seater. You could likely get back to camp with a "flat" Radial Outlaw. I would't try rallying around corners or do anything too crazy because it might peel the bead off the rim. I cannot say 100% just how run-flat they are, but I can tell you if I had a flat out in the bush I'd rather have a flat Radial Outlaw than a flat Bighorn or Zilla!

| my biggest hold up right now on tires is the whole run flat thing. right now i am running 28x11 titan 589s. the titans have been an amazing tire for me and for the conditions i ride in. they will and have supported the weight of the rhino with 0 air in em with no problem. i once drove the rhino almost 10 miles thru the woods with 0 air casue i forgot my compressor in the truck. the tire never rolled the bead and i did not even get a scrach on my rim. plus they have a 5/8 rim guard. the drawbacks to the tire is its 40lbs and its not the smoothest tire on hard packed. the only reason i am looking for something different is i have had these tires sense 04 from my 660 grizzly just wanted to change. | |

| Thanks for the views and the comments. Riding out in the river is one of my favorite things to do. It's absolutely a blast! | |
