WOO HOO ORDERED MY SHEVE KITS TODAY FOR 660 and 700

I did it y'all, pulled the trigger and ordered the sheave kits from James this morning for my 06 660 and my 09 700, 660 is getting the sheave, 14g greaseless od's, orange spring and KMS slugs, 700 is getting sheave, 18g greaseless od's, gold spring and KMS slugs. Now begins the dreaded wait for getting them here next week. It's torture. I wish things could magically arrive like when I hit send to post a comment. Guess ill start tearing the rhinos down and get them ready. Anyway I'm pumped, thanks James and everybody on the forum for thoughts and advice. Can't wait. Soon I can add it to my signature.

Yes sir the wet clutches are getting slugged on both. He sold me on it. It's the begining of the end. I see stroker big bore in my future. Do kids need college or can I use the money so they can have fun?? Hmm.

That's what I keep hearing, I'm gonna hop my ass in the rhinos tonight, tear them up and down the road and feel what they do now for the last time, then take the sheaves off and get to the wet clutch, do some cleaning and inspecting of the shoes and the. It's just the waiting game. I HATE WAITING FOR GOODIES.

No worries, I've heard nothing but good. I just didn't want to start disassembly if it was gonna be longer, I don't have any rides planned for 2 weeks so if it was gonna be longer I would hold off on getting into it. I just am really curious to see my wet clutch on the 06 with 2100 miles.

I would do one an ride the other  no need to be with out a ride when you have two , damn you lucky to have two rides , I 'm  jealous . but you will love the clutch  I mean clutches, lucky joker , maybe get some speed --- distance---- times before an after when I did mine it was broke so that was not an option be nice to see the difference

I dunno if you have ever had either one of yours apart , or not....if not...I wouldn't get too exited. I'd wait till the parts were in hand 'fore I tore them both apart. I've done a couple dozen ; and , I still go back and "double-check" myself each time. If you've been there...done , that...disreguard.

I'm gonna do just that, the more I think about it no need to tear them down right now, I will probably do some timed runs at a few different distances and compare with and without mods. I'll post the results so we can get some real world results.

I've had the 660 apart to do preventative maint. But never went into the wet clutch. The 700 I've only changed the belt. I'm gonna hold off till parts are in hand.

May be a good idea to wait on the parts before tearing it down.  If I tore something down a couple days before putting it back together, I would be trying to remember how something goes.  But hey, that's just me.  Beer is good.
