yamaha new sxs

Well, I stopped at my local Yamaha/Polaris dealership today. Looked at the new Viking---damn  its big, Ranger type big. The conversation got around to the demise of the Rhino. The word they are getting is the lawyers decided to kill it off and hopefully end all the law suits. seriously, how bad of a driver can you be to roll a Rhino when a 62 year young man mostly filled with Jack can keep it on four wheels. SUPPOSEDLY Yamaha is coming out with three new vehicles in the next year. One of which will be a RZR type bike. RZR??????????? RZR???????????? RZR type ???????????. WTF???
That would be like Piper saying they are bringing out a Piper Cub to compete with the Citation X. Holy Hell. We have Wildcats----------Canned Hams with 101 HP--------------------RZR XP 900 and 1000 and Yamaha is making a RZR type machine. Lord help us.

anyways I told them I would buy the first one they get and will promptly load it on my trailer and take it to 131 Davis Court, Mt Hope, West by God.  James you can have at it, and finish what the damn factory didn't.

When I was at my dealer a few weeks ago they told me they heard Yamaha is going to come out with a sport sxs with a 900cc motor. I forget what the motor was based off of but its something they already have maybe.

Anyone want to buy some lights ? lol  I need to start saving. I might just keep the rhino for my kids to drive.

Not to be mean, but for my style of riding, I wish yamaha would come out with a suspension travel style sxs. Before I buy one from the dark side.

I was on the list. When they got the Viking--------they didn't even call me. They knew better. Anyways Vikingjet just doesnt sound right. Lol.

I heard the same and the motor is the 850cc 3 cylinder with 11.5:1 compression and cross plane crank that they have designed and had for years but finally put into something which was the 2014 FZ-09 sport bike. That motor is all about TORQUE it would be badass in a SxS with long travel and a JBS sheave as we know stock CVT ain't going to cut it!

Local dealer said a sport model sxs is coming end of December.  Hope it's not just a viking with nice shocks.  Either way, I'm not in the market for a new ride.  Keeping what I have, but would like to see the new one be something over the top.

I think James could make a Viking haul ass in just a week or two.  Haul ass through the woods is the problem.  Way to wide to get through the trails in a hurry.  I've come to love the narrow width and short wheelbase of the rhino for fast riding.  I got alot more road I can use and more room for error.  Add to that killer cornering due to the narrow front and mid engine and you got something you can hold wide open.  Well, that is if you have a nut sack. LOL
