Project "Resurrected Rhino"

This will be a long and drawn out project but I thought I post some pics before I start cuttin it up.This is my personal Rhino.it's an 08 with LS MTS 27.5 Pittbulls and Hiper beadlocks.As stated before it getting boat sided which means I'm taking the rocker tube up 6" from the frame out.Bed delete and crab cut of the bed sides.6" drop in the seats and Fuel cell relocation with some carbon fiber work at the end.Oh I set the factory cage back on it for a good before and afterwards pic.My next job won't be here till Fri so I'll start on it in the morning.The next pic is of it sitting in front of a stock rhino on worn out 27" Mud Lights.

I cant wait to see the pic's. I already have the rear dovetailed. I want to boat side it and drop the seats then chop the cage I built

Pics a crap I know.I'm not real far on it but I'm fixing the frame wear I puckered it last year.i fit a 3' deep wash out at about 40.I thought I broke both wrists I his so hard.It was pushed in on the lower front A arm back tabs.It's plated with 3/16 now.

I'll play with seat placement a little more after bed is gone and a few other things are done but I ended up taking the rocker up 10 5/8 up instead op 6 and I have the seat lower than 6 but I had to take the B pillar out almost 4" to do so.I'll get better pics up tomorrow maybe. 

defiantly  go be a low rider  for your seats   , this will lower center of gravity some what

Here's a few more pics.Building the bottom of this thing is going to take a while.But as I'm designing the drivers side I'm cutting the pass. side parts too.These pics are of the 3/16 aluminum panel in the bottom.The arc bent into this panel is going to make it pretty strong.

Please excuse the mess in the shop.This spring I'm moving into a bigger building and it will look a little more professional.I can go back to this being my personal shop/garage.lol

Thanks Crusty that's what I'm after.i hope to make it a good advertising piece.Wait till I get the paint, powder coat and vinyl on it.A buddy of mine says I'm nuts for wasting the time on the factory bed sides.He don't like what I have in mind but I think they have to stay.

That thing is gonna be bad-ass !!  Hell...don't worry about the mess...everyone I know with a garage (including mine) looks like that ...except for James .  His is always organized.

Pic of the reinforced lower back A arm mount.Should last a little longer than the factory one did which surprising took a hell of a shot to do what it did.I'd say the spindle giving way absorbed most of it.

Start bending the top of the cage tomorrow, if it will work.My 4 seat cages have 6 bends and go from one A pillar around the back and to the other A pillar.This one I'm doing on my Rhino now will have 10 bends in it and go from A to A.I've never done that many.Cross your fingures I think I can do it as long as I have help doing it.There will be a lot of lube and leverage hanging off the end of that bender.lol

10 bends on one piece of tubing? Damn I'm lucky if I can unwind a coat hanger lol

Look at the 660 4 seater cage I did Crusty.That is 20' of tubing around the top with 6 bends.I've done 6 bends a bunch but the shape of this with 10 bends is scary.If I attempt it myself you guys will get a kick out of it if I post pics.lol Straps from the rafters,cherry picker.

I seen those cages, I wanted you to build me one but the shipping would have killed me.

Holy cow Baxter you weren't kidding on changing it up....I'll have to atop by some time and check it out in person... and discuss a cage for mine in the future
