question on kms slug kit???

So I ordered the kms slug kit cause i didn't want to hassle with melting down lead. anyways got the wet clutch out today padds look great still at 1200 miles. i mic'd both ends of the brass to see which end was the bigger side i thought i was going to have to compress them in but they just slide in flush. after i get them in i can just tap the wet clutch on the table a couple times and they come out? Am i supposed to press them in so they are are not flush doesnt seem like they would go but maybe 1-3mm in from flush? Right now i feel like I should just melt some lead down and pour it in to feel a little safer. Would like to hear from the guys that have used this slug kit.

if you look at the slugs at least in my kit there was a rounded end the went in and the ground flat end stayed out.. nothing but good things to say about slugging the wet clutch. worth the effort for sure

I have not done it (yet) but from what im told it adds weight so when the motor spins it throw the clutch to engage faster and harder than stock.

I posted a "do it yourself" in the How to section, I explain more of what the benifits are. Great improvement for little money!

Dezlfrek that's how mine are too but they fit loose on their instruction it says to use a vise to install them so I figured I would need to press them in to flush but they just slide in. I'm goin to give KMS a call this morning to see what they say

ok so i took a c-clamp and a socket that fit over the brass fittings and pressed them in a little farther and low and behold they don't come out anymore can't wait to get her buttoned up and go test this mod out. Hoping it helps my low end when rock crawling even more. should be pretty sweet paired with the jbs sheave!

mine was most noticeable in rocks, before i had to give i what seemed like half throttle to get the tires to spin up over rocks. Even when the tires spun it was barely.. After a 1/4 throttle and tires were spinning and i would have to let off the throttle to get them to stop..

a noticeable difference in all around performance also.. i wish my mid gear assembly wouldnt have let go after 5 miles or so after i did this so i could have enjoyed it more but i know what im in for when i get it running again..
