| Mr G I dont think You will ever get it to stick without welding. If You have a muffler shop close, would not take them but a minute to do ! | |

| Resbond 907 GF adhesive & sealant from -300*F - +2350*F, 1500 psi. The 'layman's' glue. LOL.... | |

If the cylindrical sleeve joint is deep and has only a little clearance it should work famously. The enemy of any glue bond is flexing and vibration. That flexing and vibration is hard on weld joints as well. | |
