| Depends on how you change the oil. If you just pull the plug and filter it should be 2.2 qt. If you drain the oil cooler it will be just under 3 qt. | |

| HMM when i did mine it was 3 qts with filter but i had the wet clutch out just before I serviced it. Yamalube 10-40 and OE filter is what I used JBS recommended | |

| yeah i got a yamaha oil change kit it came with 3 qts filter and a few gaskets and a metal lock ring which i guess it was for the oil plug. but im still not sure how much to put in i put in 2 1/2 qts for know gonna go ride this afternnon and see what it does and chrck it then | |

| Just a little over two quarts ...run it ....kill it....check it again in a few minutes and add accordingly. | |

how do you drain the oil cooler Remove the oil cooler. I'm sure you could blow it out somehow but I remove mine and clean it when I change the oil. | |

| Synthetic oil has a long life just change the filter. The oil is designed to go 3 service intervals in any other machine. Just sayin...... | |

| Oil and filter change every year,10w-40 Yamalube synthetic,if you want to clean the cooler,remove it, run brake cleaner and air through it. | |
