| james did u ever think what else could be wrong with my 660. i put 700 belt jbs sheave with i think they was 14 ounce weights, orange spring. i rerouted the return line up and over and actully a lil bit smaller line. also put dynatech cdi box on it. it runs fine but top speed is 42 mph 45 down hill. it shoud get over 50. also is there some way to reroute the intake to make it quieter, and make box quieter. | |

| Did you clean both sheaves really well and then check to make sure the belt was riding all the way to the top of the primary when you rev it up?

| When You get to that top speed, is it hitting the rev limiter (sound like it is cutting out) ? | |

| just runs steady at 42, i have no rpm gauge but i do have the dyateck cdi box. i can put stock box on and it hits rev limiter, but dyateck on and it just runs steady, no different in speed with either boxes, jbs sheave with i think 14g weights, orange spring 700 belt | |

| I have the exact same setup and I let off at 43 so I wouldn't hit the rev limiter because I don't have a cdi. | |

| the return line i made it go up and over the fuel pump back to tank so it will have to push harder to get return fuel to tank. i mean the sheave is awesome, on low end it will spin tires easly in high, hell it will climb straight up a tree, but i just want more speed out of it. i like to be a little faster, at least over 50. i ordered me a wet cluch maybe that has something to do with it. gonna replace that and see what happens, and then i dont know where to go from there | |
