That depends on the build and the driver. I just like to remind people that a CV type carb has a much smoother throttle engagement than an FCR. The FCR will build more power, but at the expense of drive ability. The FCR enriches with an accelerator pump and that can cause for a harsh transition from light throttle to full throttle. A bored CV carb is going to be limited to around 42-43rwhp as where an fcr can continue to build power past there. Nate Alba Racing

| Nate, I have a 11:1 wiseco,Ron woods exhaust, cleaned up head, 41 fcr, stage 2 raptor cam and the msd box that I got from you last year (twice ) .the problem ended up being the cheap aftermarket stator that was causing problems with the msd. Switched back to an Oem stator and bingo ,no issues. What's your opinion on a bigger carb for this build? Bored stocker or bored fcr? I'm thinking about going to a bigger cam in the near future. | |

I'd just call and tell them you saw this post and ask if its still good. Guess I will have too... I also noticed while I was pulling my carb that I needed to adjust my throttle cable that my butterfly wasn't opening all the way... MOAR POWER:[URL=http://ww
