| So I just got this bad boy and want to start fresh. I bought it used and I put nothing into it myself besides the sheave. I don't know if the springs or weights are stock. It has a Dyna Tek FS ignition controller. Are these good, not bad, or bad?
I want to start over so I know what I've got. I want a machine that can rotate 28 - 30 inch rubber in the mud or muskeg. I'm not about being the fastest but about pulling the biggest moose out of the bush.

| No it's not. Our local dealer sends them out and gets the bottom end machined out for better bottom end. They don't touch the top. | |

| There is no sheave like a JBS sheave.
Next there is a lot of "tuning" of the CVT that needs to be done to get exactly what You are looking for. When I say tuning, I mean spring rates, anti friction washers, weights, grease or no grease, slugs and ultimately the combination of all of this things.
Get all this correct and You will love it !
Get it close and You will like it.
Get it wrong, It sucks !
JBS is the best at figuring all the factors and putting together a kit made just for Your machine !

get 14s and 16s and run the 16s and a gold spring with the 28s then change it to 14s or 15s "rider preferance" when you get the 30s......50.00 a set+ shipping..22.00 on the spring

Now that we have good direction on the clutching, what about controlling fuel and timing?? Will the Dyna Tek do the job or should I get an MSD??

| Believe me I'm not saying it isn't but I spent 300 on this sheave. I'll try it with the spring and weights. If I'm happy, I'm happy. If I'm not, I'm not and I'll by a JBS sheave. Actually the plan is to inspect my sheave now that I found James video on not all sheaves are equal and I know what to look for. If I need one I'll order one. | |

| Maybe if they didn't do to much damage James could still do his magic on it? | |

You can put Your new weights in and do some measuring. If its close enough, go with it. The spring will help too. If it does what You want it to. thats the important thing. Let us know.

| The real problem with not having the JBS sheave is you dont know what your missing. You may said "im happy with what I have" but its like dating a super models ugly little sister and later finding out that the super model has the hots for you......you just missed out on all that time you could have spent together. | |

I hate peer pressure! Ok ok ok, James, send me the stuff. PM me for a full price......sheave, gold spring and 2 different sets of weights. I never used to be a crack head until that guy kept asking me to try it but look at me now.......yahooo! Thats just a joke, never touched the shit.

| it would have just been a matter of time...lol...with the HOT ROD SHEAVE I am able to climb hills in high gear that I used to use low gear and that was suposedly a great sheave with tons of R&D. You'll love the lower cruising rpm's. I drag raced a buddy in his stock RZR4, both bikes with coolers, guns, tool bag and family. I got the holeshot till 30mph and he smoked me, but all I have is a JBS sheave no engine work. Gotta love peer pressure at 39 yrs old..lol | |
