| who is running 30" tires. I really want to put 30" tires on my rhino but that lil bastard on my shoulder is yelling 27" - 28". my tires now are beat 28x11x12 they actually measure 26x11x12 and are heavy. im gonna take one off soon and get a weight on it. im worried about my middle gear and im worried about it being a total dog. I do have a jbs sheave but that is the only perf mod. im the somewhat near future I am planning on a 686 kit. I don't need 30"s I just want them. the extra GC would be nice. I ride very rocky terrain. if I get 30"s it will either be the 30" mudlite or the new blackwater evolution probably the blackwater. the mudlite is true to size and weights 33lbs and the blackwater is about an inch short and weights 36 lbs. I don't get into thick mud. the mud up here where I ride is very watery.
im gonna guess my tires are 33 lbs in there current condition but like I said they only measure 26 tall. do ya`s think I will even notice a difference going from what I have now to a 36lb tire that measures 29" tall?

| Stock motor an have not had a problem turning them in anything yet.. But ive been thinking about going to 28" zillas as they are 12 pounds lighter than the swamplites to gain some power back | |

| I ran 28" zillas and they were a great tire. I just wanted more ground clearance. My rhino turns the 30s without a problem.Only complaint on the zillas was it was hard to steer on certain ground. The narrow fronts seemed to push instead of biting and turning. So far I'm happier with the mudlites but be warned they do wear quickly. | |

| You will break the middle gear without clutch work. Have one broken now cause of his hard head. But he's also on 30" outlaw radials. Really heavy. I run 28's and 29.5's. no issues. Cam. Msd. Clutch work. Pulls hard. 54 mph with the 28's and 46 mph with the 29.5 terminators. 2" lift will clear them. Fronts might rub when turning. If the rear rub the front side of the fender, let them for a while to cut your fenders perfect. Then trim them to clean it up. Good luck. | |

| Hey Eric, can you give more details about what happenend when your buddy busted the middle drive gear? I worry about my middle drive gear, especially since I have a little taller tires now. I guess I'm looking for a "Whatever you do, don't do ________!" | |

| Well, he has no power adders or clutch work. So he's constantly in a bind with the Motor. I drive the shit out of mine and it breaks loose easily. I think the key is getting the tires to spin instead of bog the motor.
The first one that broke a middle gear, was from low oil

| It has been bored to a 730 but was a 660. New to the forum and wanting to get some jbs sheaves but don't know what to run with the combo. The past owner said he installed 16g weights w/ orange springs. Don't know if it has the factory sheaves tho. . | |

| I'd say 12 or 14 gram weights. Think the white spring is what most run. Not exactly sure on the 660 platform. | |
