| I saw that problem on a Raptor 660 when the air box was modded and caused it to run lean. It would backfire and blow the carbs off. Richened up the jetting and all was good. | |

| Factory exhaust but the baffle is removed. It does not backfire on deceleration. | |

| I would definitely open up the carb and see if it's dirty, there could be a restriction from that. Have you owned it since new or is it new to you? Possibly someone else changed something before you got it. Check what's in there for jets, should be 150 main and a 40 pilot jet. About 1.5-2 turns out on the mixture screw will be close enough for it to run proper | |

| are you sure that "pressure" is blowing the air cleaner off the carb? there should be no reverse pressure from the intake to blow it off. is it fastened securely? | |

| Check your valve adjustment, could be that the intake valves are not closing all the way, then when it comes to the compression stroke its blowing compression back to the carb.just tring to figure this out. | |

| Ok i tore down the carb and cleaned it and went ahead and ordered new jets. After inspecting everything i noticed that the boot on top of the carb slide has a hole in it. Could this cause my problem? | |
