PostSubject: Adding a lift kit to restore stock height   Adding a lift kit to restore stock height Icon_minitimeWed Jul 31, 2013 12:26 pm

I had my shocks rebuilt and new springs (Walker Evans) and still sit at 9 3/4" front and 10" rear. i carry a lot of extra weight in the bed and on the Rhino in general.  If I put a on a lift kit like the CFM it should raise the height back to stock height. My question is will the CV joints be at the same angle as stock or does that change the angle because the kit sit's out further than the stock mount? I have over 6,000 miles on my Rhino and I'm not looking for CV joint issues.

you wont have full shock travel then...adjust your preload until you have the right ride height..

You may have to get stiffer springs....mine is heavy also (around 1700lb w/two people and full cooler). I had to go with 525 lb springs on the rear to get the ride height.

The back springs are 475# now, I don't think I want them any stiffer than that. James the preload we talked about on the phone are 3/4" rear 1" front. If you still want a picture on the springs let me know. Thanks

The 525's actually made mine ride better...I had the old ones compressed so much to get the height, they rode rough as hell.
