| Isnt there a magnet inside of the engine case?? or is it the drain plug that is magnetic?
I bent a valve and valve spring came off. I found 1 valve spring keeper in pieces. the other keeper i have not been able to find. i pulled head and jug off pulled stator cover off i am fishing around inside the case with magnets but cannot find the other keeper. I figured it had to be inside of stator cover. once the valve bent the engine died immediately so i cannot believe the keeper could have fallen down thru timing chain opening in head and jug and went thru the small opening into the main case and got that deep inside the main case that i cannot find it.
not sure what to do this is a fresh motor

Yeah I was just thinking of that too. maybe pump was sucking enough to pull it in there. I did turn the engine over quite a bit trying to start it so the pump could have pulled it in while cranking it over. i did not think the drain plug was magnetic but it seems to me there was something magnetic in there that was holding all of my chunks from my mangled mid drive gears. thanks
