| Hey guys my Rhino continues to spit out the drivers side rear axle. I am wanting to bolt the axles together. What is the preferred method to do this, drill and tap one side then run the bolt from the other axle or run a bolt through both and then put a nut on the other side axle? | |

| Are you sure there is not another issue that is causing the axle to spit out? | |

| I wish there were then I could see the problem. Bushings tight, bearings tight, no lift, mounts not broken and has added braces to help hold the diff. Everything is fine until the left rear tire lifts off the ground then the axle slides out of the diff. | |

| Yes all stock axle shafts. Where the circlip is on the shaft is wore down non existant the clip and axle splines are thrashed. Can the right side inner cv joint be swapped from a broken axle onto my left side axle | |

| I don't know if they interchange left and right. I think they are different part numbers. | |

| How about the preload on the shocks? Do you have them cranked down to gain a little height! When the axle is out, will the CV plunge back and forth?? | |

| On my sport you can adjust the spring to gain height but the ride will get stiffer, the right and left axles are not interchangeable but the CV joints are, when the axles are out the inners will slide in and out but the ring inside will stop them from coming apart. | |

| i'm having the same issue, however my left rear continues to pop out of the diff, when i put more than 200 lbs in the bed, i have put on a new clip even put the sway bar back on and turned the shocks up. when i go through a cross ditch or hole and the axle gets level, it comes out everytime. i have pretty much tried everything except bolting them together which i don't want to do..... or buying a new axle and rear diff,,,,, | |

| Thanks guys for the responses. Im in the middle of preload adjustment on the springs. Mudslinger I think our problems are related, I don't want to bolt them together either but I would rather ride it than work on it. | |

| The two major parts are the outer CV joint and the ring gear,if you can get a good used one with good straight ends try that with a new c-clip,if you can't get that to work then the ring gear may also be worn out. | |

| What year is your Rhino?adjusting shocks will not change the cycle length. If I had to guess something is bent or axles are switched. How hard does your CV boot feel? That is a huge shot in the dark, by me, but if that CV boot does not let that CV move then there is a small chance it could pull it out.they do get hard over time but they normally crack and fall apart.Take a straight edge to everything in the back to rule out something being bent.Wish you were closer.Feel free to give me a shout.Pull your axle out and make sure it is bind free. The CV cage could possibly be binding and causing it to pull out.If you have a cracked cage it is very beneficial to catch now. Just giving you some ideas. | |
