| I would think yes to your question. And yes they should move freely. And you just have to giver hell to get them out of the diff. | |

| When it's all together with the balls in, it should be tight and kinda hard to move around. That cage looks like hell, you will need a kit. Looks the same as my stock parts, but you better get the gorilla kit to be sure unless you have some parts from a stock one to compare. | |

| When you put the new stuff in there, that last ball can be a real mofo to get in. Have hammer ready and don't hit it hard enough to damage anything. | |

| Should slide in and out easily and almost no slack at all when you try to rotate the shaft inside the assembled CV inner.Get those new parts to rebuild it for trouble free future. Check out Ole Nasty's home made CV puller. | |

| Ole Nasty made his tool to fit a slide hammer and it has a exhaust clamp that tightens around the outside of the inner CV joint other than that. You can remove the opposite side and with a long punch tap the end through the ring gear, good luck. | |

| To remove the axle from the inner CV joint pull the boot back from the CV joint then look inside for the ring pop the ring and the CV will come apart. Once the out part is of wipe the grease and look for a snap ring, remove the snap ring and carefully tap off the inner CV don't loose your balls, note which way the piece that holds the balls comes off. The inner part of the CV only fits one way. | |
