| It blows air on the exhaust I took mine off and left it off when I put a new piston in mine a few mo.s ago. | |

| Yep, Just blows air across the exhaust. Couple things tho. When I took mine off(just the hose) the exhaust hanger tried to catch fire. Some have said, It will melt Your hanger then You will crack the manifold. Others have removed with success. The down side of the fan is, when it gets water or mud in it, it bogs the motor real bad. | |

| if you have stock exhaust it cools the rubber mount. if you have aftermarket exhaust, ditch the whole setup.
I pondered running inter my intake for a supercharger... lol!

| I removed mind because it was bogging down in the mud. I melted my exhaust mount the next ride. I've been dealing with the aftermath since. Pretty sure the manifold is cracked but haven't tore into it yet. On the plus side I tear thru the deep mud now.
If you're running stock exhaust I wouldn't suggest ripping it out.

| Where are those fans located? Are they electric, or bolted to the sheave? I know my 700 don't have one, but I've heard alot about the bogging down from it. | |
