| Less tension lets it spool up faster, too much friction takes away hp. | |

| So the purple is better then right ? I guess I'm just confused cause it use to be that the gold was the big rave now people are going with the purple so why isn't the stock spring better then ? Sorry for all the questions. | |

| You want to run the lightest spring u can without slipping the belt, then use the weights to get the rpm range that is best for your setup, but i would check with james on that, your motor and his are very close on the setup. | |

| House is beautiful and the ride is awsome. I'm about 2 hours away from him and about 4 hours away from you I thank. But it would be cool to get together though. | |

| I wanna ride too!
I still don't understand the whole deal with the springs, but I know I like the feel of what I have now on a hill. It's a real positive hooked up feel when I get to the gas.

James what is your opinion on this ? right on the money.this is to find the best overall performance...if you want it more for what the rider wants... hills mud ect then you change it from that base line

| He is running the purple spring that's what got me wondering our motors are pretty close so I was wondering why he went from the gold to the purple and is it better. I guess he likes the purple better for his set up though. | |

| How about this set up.... 16g weights, JBS sheave, and gold spring.... 29.5 terminators...... I find it revs up high before it starts to pull, but when it pulls it pulls hard... Next mod soon is Cam and MSD this week.... Clutch set up will still be good????? | |
