| Thought I would share my weekend ride. A buddy of mine and I went on a trail that is way out in the boonies. This trail crosses several creeks and we have had some pretty good rain, so needless to say the creeks were a little swollen. When I crossed one creek, we hit a hole that brought water in over the seats. It died and we jumped out to push it backwards on the shore. (Dang that water was cold!) Once the body was out of the water, it fired right up, but would not move when I put it in gear. We sat there for a few minutes drinking a cold one, outside any cell phone signal and not likely to have anyone ride up on us to help. As I pondered the situation, I knew it had to be water in the clutch. Low and behold, there is a drain plug in the bottom of the clutch housing. Pulled the plug, water ran out, and we were back on the trail. Wanted to share in case anyone else runs into this problem and is unaware of the plug as I was. I checked the oil as well to make sure there wasn't any water in it as well. All is good! | |

| It's also a good idea to turn them up on their side while they are draining. This let's the water trapped inside the grease cover on the primary run out. Otherwise the water is heavier than the grease and when the primary starts spinning it pushes the grease out and makes a mess inside the belt cover. | |
