| Thinking of getting a slip on for my 450. I have looked at the dg with quiet core. I want a little more throaty sound but not to be way loud. I have a rear seat and am worries it still may be to loud for my son when he is in back. Also I know it's not much but do they make any power difference or response at all. Any advice on this would be great. Thanks! | |

| I would think a JBS sheave first. I have it and more in my rhino but I only added a sheave to my 550 grizzly and it was noticeably an improvement. | |

| Yeh I have the sheave weights and a blue spring. Also have a cdi k&n and a 1.5" exhaust tip. I just got my .020 top end kit and was considering the exhaust. Like I said mainly want it for the sound but don't want it obnoxiously loud. | |

| Yeh I hope it helps a little on the power. It started smoking out crankcase vent so I know I'm loosing a little bit of power. With the mods I have right now I only get like 37 mph. I hope to top end will get me to 40 and maybe some more low end. | |

| Where ya been Clembone? Thought maybe the wife made you sell that fofity. Good to see you made it over to the "Boys Club". Glad to see you got the part for the top-end. Just put an 'Axia' tip on my bike and gave it a little more throat, also opened up the air box which I think helps with the throatiness. By just going 04 Style and adding the tip with some fine tuning on the carb my bike has gained a lot out of the hole through the mid-30rds.

| Clembone, Let us know has she rolls after you get it back. Lots of 450's on the site that would like to hear about it. I stop in at the Yamaha shop today to get the last pieces for my project and was talking with their mach tech; this is what he told me. "You think you have a Ferrari and all you have is a Malibu". Yah, he's right but I've had a blast tuning the carb up and getting the best performance I can out of my Malibu, really wanted to tell him to fuck-off. | |

| I'll give u guys a hood report. I rode with my buddy today and his new xp 900. I will say it was awesome and had lots of power but still had fun on my 450. Even got to pull him back over after he flipped on his side. If yamaha don't so something soon I may have an XP myself. | |
