| Alright this has been nagging at me. I have these tires mounted on a lawnmower I worked on before the rhino. They are 23-10.5-12 and really nobbe kinda like the outlaw radials. Do you think I would be alright these and a 2 inch lift or am I thinking crazy. Any input appreciated. Thanks! http://stopandgotires.com/model.asp?model=Tru%20Power | |

| CR13, I gather that you are talking about taking the 2 off of the lawnmower and putting them on the Rhino. You would then have 2 of the stock 25" Rhino tires and then 2 of these 23"?
There is always an issue about having matching diameters at all 4 corners in a 4 wheel drive vehicle. A mismatch will cause a windup of your drive train when you are in 4WD, until something gives. With poor traction that will likely be the tires slipping. With good traction that can be something breaks in the drive train. Beware, the measured diameter does not always match the specified diameter (depends on brand, etc.), so measure the actual tires (mounted and inflated) to get honest numbers to compare.
To get around this windup issue, you could buy 2 more of the 23" tractor tires to get a matched set, or buy a full set of 4 of a more appropriate diameter. Or, never use 4WD, except maybe in mud?

| I was thinking about taking them off to try them only in two wheel drive and see if I liked it then possibly buy two others. I see what you're saying and I think the strain would be put on the front axles because the bigger tires are harder to turn. Maybe I could try selling them on ebay or something, they only have probably 10 miles on 'em. | |

The strain in the windup of the drive train is on the axle propeller shafts, the CV joints, the front and rear gearboxes, the couplers and u-joints on the drive shafts,, the front and rear drive shafts and the drive shaft within the engine cases. There is also strain betwee the tire treads and the ground, at both ends, but in opposite directions. It is not a exactly a matter of the front tires being harder to turn, but rather that the front and rear wheels turn at different speeds going down the road in a straight line. The drive train cannot go different speeds at each end of the vehicle, so something MUST give; hopefully it is the tires slipping on the ground.

| I see what you're saying steve, I don't think I'm gonna do it, I'll just wait until later and buy 4 tires for the rhino. | |
