middle drive gear

just curious as to what the middle drive gear or middle drive support actually is. ive never been into the bottom end of my rhino. just wanted to get a little more insight on the weak link.

the middle drive support is a weak link , if you ever open up the case's that is a must upgrade. the middle drive gear is sending power to the through shaft which the front an back drive shafts hook too . the middle support will bust under the load , the oem is pot aluminum just a bad set-up replace with a billet piece no more worries of braking . also when one lets go it can take out most of the trans gears , through shaft & gears , middle drive gear , bust the case maybe even the crank, very $$$$$ repair

wow definately would be a costly repair. ive heard about it before just never actually known what it was. thanks for the insite. is this a problem for both the 660 and 700??

Yes I believe it is if you do it do the reverse gear upgrade also.
