gauge - Help with lc-1 afr gauge Empty
PostSubject: Help with lc-1 afr gauge   gauge - Help with lc-1 afr gauge Icon_minitimeTue Nov 12, 2013 10:36 pm

So I finally got the afr gauge in and workin and had some questions. First the numbers on the gauge bounce around a lot. Should I have a steady reading? Other than thAt it bounces from 11.5ish to 12.5ish at idle goes up to 13ish to low 14ish going very easy and is back around 12 ta 13 when standing on it. Are these numbers ok? Biggest concern is how much the gauge bounces around? Do I have a problem or is this normal?

Thanks ya'll

Bouncing around in numbers is normal mine does the same usually stays around 11.9-13.2 when giving it any gas and the idle is around 11's and thats with -19 on fuel controller. When I am running hard on the trail or racing someone it reads 12.9-13.2. Keep in mind the lower the number the richer its running and the higher the number the leaner its running.  I stay away from 14 as much as I can its getting lean.

14.7 stoichiometric is the best ratio at sea level, but the best power from a naturally aspirated engine  is at about 12.5-13.3:1 AFR jumping around is normal.

PostSubject: Re: Help with lc-1 afr gauge   gauge - Help with lc-1 afr gauge Icon_minitimeWed Nov 20, 2013 10:34 pm

So messed with it some tonight went up to a 50 pilot from a 45 and went up to a 170 main from 162.5 then a 165 now with the 170 and 50 I went 2 turns out on air screw and it's around 10.8 to 11.8 at idle and around 12.8 ta 13.4 or so. Question is is that good at wot? What way should I turn the air screw or will this not help at wot? Runs good all the way threw no popping or anything.

12.5 at idle and 13.5 WOT sounds good, around two turns out an idle, should be good.
