| I have one in my 700. I didn't notice too much of a difference, but I have a 2012 and was trying to hold off buying a controller until MSD released one. Looks like I may be waiting a while. | |

| NGK 9198 for 700. Rock Auto has a great price and cheap shipping. Got two for S15.00. | |

| Put an Irridium plug in my 06/450 this weekend before taking off riding. To be truthful; I really didn't notice any difference, have a Dyna FS on the bike and could really tell a difference when I put it on. Do you gap the Irridium the same? Might be a dumb question but just asking beings the firing end is different. | |

| Most of the CDIs I believe increase the spark voltage. Coupled with a good plug makes the difference. | |

Your copper plug conducts better than iridium (iridium is a type of metal). Iridium doesn't erode like copper. They have a slightly better conductor and produce a better spark under modifies engine with higher compression. What I've read; on an unmodified engine you will not see much of any difference. You will see longer plug life with iridium as the copper plug will erode and the spark will become less powerful. Also, you shouldn't try and gap an Iridium plug, you can damage the tip. This information is from my researching the Iridium plug, I personal didn't notice any difference when I installed the Iridium plug in my Rhino with a stock engine. | |
