Mine didnt really make noises...it just wouldnt kick on sometimes. I took it off , and kept spraying wd-40 in the vent hole , till it would drain out clear. That'll get you a little more time out of it ; but , you'll end up buying a new one before all said and done. btw...you're gonna shit when you see how much those cost !!!

If you a mechanically inclined , you can take one apart. Once it's apart, it's pretty simple. Clean out all the muddy crap in there, clean up the brushes, lube it up(bearings and bushings), silicone it back up and you're good to go.
Mine stopped working a while back and when I took it apart, turned out to be a severed wire to the brush. Put in a new brush, (had to customize one from a skil saw actually) and all was well. Saved a pile of dough. Redneck ingenuity!

well pulled it apart today to clean the radiator and its not rebuildable..... there is a sticker on it with a company called tripac... they make cooling fans but i cant seem to find the one that is in there.... Part number 15-0012.... reason i will have to change it is the vent line piece is broke off and no tellin how long its been like that.... so im sure all the bearings are full of water n mud and its rivited sorta together not bolted together...

I ordered this http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/sku/Univ/Replacement/Radiator_Fan/REPU160901.html?apwcid=froogle&apwREPU160901rafare

it came in today...only $30 shipped. I have an aftermarket shroud so drilling new holes was a breeze.

The bolt pattern looks close. Did you try installing it in the stock location?

The holes in the shroud in the pic above are where the stock fan would go. These are a bit wider and shorter.

No it will not fit the stock location. With an aftermarket shroud drilling new mounting holes is super easy. I would suggest purchasing a shroud anyway...they run about $50. So even if you buy a shroud and a fan it will run you about $80...still cheaper than most fans

TCP shroud is way over priced...sorry but we're talking about a fan shroud. If it fits than it's a great product...so I don't understand why it cost almost double other places.

Found mine on Ebay for $45 and looks identical to the TCP.

watch buying aftermarket automotive fans.. I installed one on my rhino and with in 5 mins of ripping around in a "play area" out on the trail i lost half the an blades and it started to hack away at the radiator itself..

So i am in the market or a new fan and shroud.. thoughts on the duel an setup?

I know the OEM fans and shrouds are about $200, but you will know what you getting with that. Just a thought.
