| I went out and ran the ol Rhino at my local mud park. Here are a few pics for you guys to check out. Here's one after unloading them off the trailer Here's a full throttle launch up a loose dirt hill in 4WD. And here's what happens when you high-center on an underwater log! Finally, if you want to watch a little 2 minute clip of us riding, click the YouTube link below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ymOgkxX3dVg&feature=youtu.beOverall, I'm very pleased with the way this motor runs. | |

| Thanks for the kind words. It feels awesome to run a motor that you've had apart wondering if it will ever come back together. And it does sound good... LoL Even my Can-Am driving brother-in-law admits it sounds good. On another note, I needed to do something about that little axle problem. I got high-centered on a huge submerged tree which completely peeled the driver front CV boot off the outer joint. After I got winched off the tree, I rode the rest of the day all through the water and mud and creek sand without realizing the the boot was messed up. It wasn't until loading up on the trailer that I saw the boot in its sorry state. So yesterday I got on the phone with James. I saw his inventory video. I had no clue he had so many parts on hand! Impressive! I decided to just replace the axle instead of just rebuilding it. A lot of sand and sticks and mud were in that CV... but it wasn't broken! LoL Unfortunately, James didn't have that axle in stock but he did order one for me. My problem is I have a HUGE ride coming up in a few days and the new axle won't arrive in time. So my knucklehead brain gets thinking... "Hmm, that axle isn't broken, maybe I can do something so that I can ride on this big ride I've had planned for the last two months." So I got out my brake cleaner and got good and greasy cleaning up the CV as best I could without actually removing it from the Rhino. Thorough, huh? Turns out the CV boot wasn't even torn and the clamp was still good. It was just all peeled back on the shaft like a banana. So like a good knucklehead, I just packed as much fresh grease in that CV as I could and folded that CV boot back on the joint and put the band back on it. Behold! My TIME BOMB CV shaft! It's not ideal but riding beats not riding! Hahaha! In all seriousness, I got the new CV shaft coming from JBS and this is like a temporary trail side fix, only more redneck and shady. Did I mention I love my Rhino? | |

| At least now if it blows up you are expecting it. How much is a new axle? And are all four the same on a 700? | |

| James quoted me $220 for a whole new LF axle. I know the rear axles are different lengths. I'm not sure if the front axles have the same part number. All my time bomb axle has to make is about 10 hours worth of riding. My dad said something that was really funny when I told him about my "fix." Dad said, "Sand and grease ought to grind it up good." My old man can still crack me up! I was like, "Dad, but I used brake cleaner on it!" haha! | |

| Chris, I done the same thing and ended up replacing the axle. After I put the new one in, I pulled the old one apart, cleaned, re greased and put a new boot on. Now I have a spare ! Just a thought........... | |

| I tore a boot on my driver side rear last ride in w.v.,rode it all day like that.when we got back home,i pulled the whole axle out and cleaned it in a parts cleaner vat and blew it out, repeated this process about 6 times till i got all the grit out, then put new grease in and new boot on...we will see how long it lasts! | |

| Sounds sweet !!...good job !!...After your ride , knock that cv off , and take it apart. It prob isn't hurt (and, if you screw it up ya got a new one on the way ! )...I have a bud with a "chino"...he had the same prob as you...he ran his long enough it started "poping". He bought a new axle ; but , they sent him the wrong one. We were going on a ride the next day , so I took his "bad" one apart (it was pretty ugly inside that cv...BAD rusty ! )...hit all of the ball-bearings on the wire wheel ; and , regreased it all real good , and put on a new boot. He is still running it over 3 months later , and he has the new one as a spare now (they got him the right one)...the cage is kinda a pita ; but , after the work you just done , shouldn't be a problem for ya !! | |
