| The tires are stock and I run Mobil 1 4T 10w40 for wet clutch. The motor is all stock and my clutching consists of gold spring, 18g greaseless weights, and a .040 shim between primary sheaves (will be machined sheave and OD weights once it comes in). I was surprised to see grooves with that low of miles too and thats why I came here to get confirmation to what I was thinking. I bought the unit new and broke it in on regular yamalube then switched over to amsoil 0w-40 atv oil which I was not impressed with (ran hotter and did not seem to shift as smooth). I have been running mobil 1 4T for a while now and have no complaints. What do you guys recommend or use for oil in stock units? I have ordered everything to replace the entire assembly including oil seals, gaskets, and oneway bearing. Hopefully I will have better luck with the new one! Thank you all for the help! | |

| Looks like I will be going back to yamalube! Does anyone know what the diameter and length of the kms slugs are? Are the 660 and 700 slugs the same size? Thanks! | |

| I was on Royal Purple, the wet clutch did not last. Replaced the wet clutch assembly added Yama-Lube 10w-40,the clutch holds tight now, I won't go back. My drum had lines in it I used some 40grit paper and reused it. | |

| The clutch shoe was micro metered and has around .2mm of wear, the best we could tell. Better than half the wear shoe is still left on the clutch pads. And this is after 3k miles. | |
